How do I double-space my paper?

To double-space your paper, follow these steps based on the software you're using:
Microsoft Word (Windows and Mac):
- Select the text you want to double-space (or press
Ctrl + A
(Windows) orCmd + A
(Mac) to select all text). - Go to the Home tab.
- In the Paragraph group, click the Line and Paragraph Spacing button (it looks like lines with an arrow pointing up and down).
- Choose 2.0 from the dropdown.
Alternatively:
- Right-click your text and select Paragraph.
- In the Paragraph dialog box, go to the Spacing section.
- Under Line Spacing, choose Double and click OK.
Google Docs:
- Select the text you want to double-space (or press
Ctrl + A
orCmd + A
to select all). - Click on the Format menu at the top.
- Go to Line & paragraph spacing > Double.
Mac Pages:
- Highlight the text.
- In the Format sidebar, go to the Style tab.
- Under Spacing, set the Line Spacing to 2.0.
