If you are stuck in a Zoom or Teams waiting room, try these steps:
Step 1: Wait a few minutes
- At the start of the session, the instructor may need 5–10 minutes to open the meeting.
Step 2: Leave the meeting and rejoin
Step 3: Close and reopen your browser
Step 4: Restart your device
Step 5: Clear your browser’s cache and cookies

Step 6: Check your internet connection
- Run a speed test at https://www.speedtest.net
- Restart your Wi-Fi or switch networks
- If on a mobile device, turn Wi-Fi off and back on
Step 7: Contact the Librarian
- If you still cannot get into the session, notify the Librarian so the issue can be documented and investigated (for example, calendar or meeting link errors).
